cg-title

Cover Girl was purchased privately from Christine Williams in 2008 when her mother Wilodge Uptown Girl was also purchased.

Cover Girl is by Wilodge Ulex and has been shown successfully culminating in the female and reserve overall championship at the Royal Show in 2009. She has tremendous scale, scope, locomotion and muscling and breeds true to type.

Her progeny have included the 15,000gns Bedgebury Flat Out, sold at Carlisle having stood champion in May 2012, the 7800gns Bedgebury General Lee and Bedgebury Fancy Pants, interbreed champion Edenbridge and Oxted Show August 2011 and donor female in the herd.

cilla-title

Cilla was purchased prior to the arrival of Cover Girl and their dam Uptown Girl. Again, a long, dark, deep bodied, heavily muscled cow, Cilla has been shown successfully taking the breed championship at Kent County Show and continues to breed well in the herd.

Her 2013-born calf, Bedgebury Impressive, by Argan De L’Ecluse is an impressive black and white calf who will no doubt feature on the 2014 show circuit.

auntie

Auntie was one of the foundation females of the herd and was purchased as a calf privately from Michele Wilde as a weaned calf in 2005.

By the noted Dafyd, she is out of Ridge Dean Victoria, an Osborne Van Terbeck daughter out of the great Ridge Dean Jessie.

She has had a successful show career as a yearling and two year old heifer taking tickets at the Royal show and Royal Welsh, as well as picking up first prizes and a reserve female championship at East of England in 2011.

Her first daughter, Bedgebury Davina, sold in Chelford for 2250gns while her second, Bedgebury Futie took countless prizes and championships as a yearling heifer before taking the reserve overall championship at Chelford in March 2012 when she sold for 4300gns.

Also sold in March 2013 was Bedgebury Humbug, an ET-bred heifer by Dartagnan Du Castillon. She sold at 3600gns to Victoria Bowring.

Although Auntie is no longer alive, embryos are for sale and her genetics will continue to be used in the Bedgebury breeding programme.

jus

This almost black cow was purchased privately from Adam Neachell having been imported from Belgium. By Gitan, she is out of Gravure Du P’Tit Mayeur and has formed a vital component of Bedgebury genetics.

Her style, length, muscle and locomotion has been passed on to her progeny in the form of Bedgebury Glamorous, a Bringlee Carlos daughter who sold in Carlisle for 6800gns in May 2012, the top female price on the day.

She also has a great crop of 2013-born calves, two of which will be entered in Norbreck Genetics’ Blue Diamond Sale in September.
